This 80/20 blend of organic expeller pressed sunflower oil and organic extra virgin olive oil is the perfect combination of healthy oils. Sunflower oil is a good balance of monounsaturated fats in the form of oleic acid and polyunsaturated fats in the form of linoleic acid. It has a high smoke point of 450° F and works well for low to extremely high temperature cooking. Olive oil is considered to be one of the healthiest of all vegetable oils. It too is high in monounsaturated fats in the form of oleic acid and contains smaller amounts of polyunsaturated fats. Normally, olive oil is not recommended for high temperature cooking, however, when blended with sunflower oil in this composition, it becomes more resistant to high temperatures while adding a light fruity flavor of olive oil at the same time. This oil blend is ideal for frying. It can also be used for baking, grilling and sauteing as well as an ingredient in salad dressings and marinades.
The shelf life of this product is dependent on storage conditions. It should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity-controlled environment. When stored under optimum conditions, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
