Apiguard

A natural and non-toxic treatment for varroa mites, Tracheal mites, and chalkbrood. The active ingredient, Thymol, is derived from the thyme herb. Apiguard encourages the hygienic behavior of the honeybee to spread the treatment through the hive.

Through thousands of treatments, efficacy rates ranged from 85% to 95%, with an overall average of 93%.

It is extremely well tolerated by bees and has no harmful effect on the colony. Best results occur when bees are active and maximum daily temperatures are between 60˚F and 105˚F.
