Description

These date pieces are made from Deglet Noor dates which are grown in California.  Once they are harvested and dried, they are chopped into smaller bite-size pieces and then lightly coated with finely ground oat flour to keep the pieces separated and free-flowing. They are soft in texture, well-fleshed and have a very sweet flavor.  They contain approximately 75% to 80% natural sugar and are also a good source of dietary potassium. They contain protein, dietary fiber and trace vitamins and minerals including boron, magnesium, manganese and zinc.  Date pieces with oat flour are most commonly used as an ingredient in baked goods such as bars, bread, muffins and cookies.
