These premium, non-gmo soybeans are grown and processed in the U.S. Soybeans have been a crucial crop to East Asia for thousands of years, even before written records began. There is evidence of soybean domestication in China between 7000 and 6600 BC. Today, soybeans are one of the largest global crops with world production amounting to over 320 million tons per year.

The main reason why soybeans are so popular is that they are a rich source of protein and oil. As a matter of fact, protein and oil make up for 56% of their composition (36% protein and 20% fat). They also contain 30% carbohydrates, 9% water, and 5% ash. Not only are they are an exceptional source of dietary fiber (37%), iron (121%), manganese (120%), phosphorous (101%), and folate (94%), but they are also high in vitamin K, magnesium, zinc, potassium.

Because they are known to offer a complete protein profile, they are a popular choice for vegetarian and vegan diets. They are also low in fat and cholesterol free. They are most commonly used to make tempeh, tofu, soy sauce and soy milk.
