Our natural (not blanched with skins) flake almonds are grown and processed in California. They are the by-product of the slicing process so are random and various in size. With a creamy, nutty flavor and slightly crunchy texture, they are a wonderful ingredient for making muesli, cakes, bars, cookies and pastries.
Almonds are packed with nutrition making them the most popular of all the different types of tree nuts. High in protein (6 grams per ounce) and fiber (4 grams per ounce), they are also an excellent source of other vitamins and minerals including calcium, magnesium and potassium. Two decades of research has shown that almonds can help maintain a healthy heart and weight. Originating from the Middle East, they have a long history going all the way back to 1400 BC. Today, they are widely grown in California.

Product shelf life is dependent on storage conditions and is highly variable. Almonds should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity controlled environment. The industry standard for shelf life, when stored under optimum conditions, is 18 months from date of manufacture.
