Our organic raw whole cashews are shelled and unsalted. The 320 notates that there are approximately 320 nuts per pound. Slightly larger in size, they make for a wonderful snacking and baking nut. They can also be used to make cashew milk, butter, and cheese.
Anacardium occidental, the botanical name for the cashew tree, are tropical evergreen trees that grow predominately in Vietnam, Nigeria, India and the Ivory Coast. Cashews are a nutrient-packed nut containing high amounts of protein, dietary fiber, and antioxidants. A rich source of the dietary minerals copper, manganese, phosphorous, magnesium and vitamins such as thiamine, vitamin B6, and vitamin K; cashews are also known to be a great source of oleic acid which is the same monounsaturated fat found in olive oil. With a mild and buttery flavor, cashews are commonly used in Indian, Thai and Chinese cuisine.

he product shelf life of cashews is dependent on storage conditions and is highly variable. They should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity controlled environment. The industry standard for shelf life, when stored under optimum conditions, is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
