Clear PVC plastic mold with 6 cavities.
The rectangle soap is probably the most traditional shape you will find. Ours is smooth on the top and bottom which shows the distinct clean lines of the bar. Basic shapes such as the rectangle are often used to make soaps that are made with multi-colored layers or that have additional ingredients added to them such as dried lavender, rolled oats or poppy seeds. The basic shape allows for the ingredients and technique to become the highlight of the soap.
Finished Soap Size
Each cavity makes a bar of soap that measures 3 inches long by 2 inches wide by 1 inch in depth and holds 3.5 ounces of soap.
This mold can tolerate temperatures of 135 to 140 degrees F. Warping may occur if pouring soap in above these temperatures. Soap is easiest to release 12 to 24 hours after cooling.
Measurements and weights listed above are approximate. These molds are not food grade. Wash molds in warm, soapy water. Avoid putting in the dishwasher as this may cause the molds to become brittle and/or warp.
