Roasted in canola oil, our roasted and salted large cashew pieces, have a buttery and slightly salty flavor with a satisfying crunch. They are delicious eaten by the handful all on their own as a healthy snack or mixed with other nuts and dried fruit to make a trail mix.
Cashew trees are tropical evergreens that predominately grow in Vietnam, Nigeria, India and the Ivory Coast. Cashews are a nutrient-packed nut containing high amounts of protein, dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals including copper, manganese, phosphorous, magnesium, thiamine, vitamin B6, and vitamin K. They are popular because they have a lower fat content compared to most other nuts, with about 75% consisting of unsaturated fatty acids. Most of this unsaturated fat content is composed of oleic acid, which is the same monounsaturated fat found in olive oil.

The product shelf life of cashews is dependent on storage conditions and is highly variable. They should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity controlled environment. The industry standard for shelf life, when stored under optimum conditions, is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
