Cargill's Untreated Purified Sea Salt is a food-grade, granular, white crystalline sodium chloride product manufactured under stringent process control procedures. It is made from Pacific Ocean sea salt, which is harvested from ponds near the San Francisco Bay. It has a wide variety of uses in food manufacturing including that of making mayonnaise, salad dressing, margarine, conventional churn butter, canning delicate vegetables such as peas, lima beans, and tomatoes, and canning high acid and pickled vegetables.

It is recommended to store this product at ambient temperatures of 45 to 90° F and at a relative humidity of <75%. The shelf life is 18 months when stored under recommended conditions.
