Aunt Patty’s sweetened cultivated blueberries are of the highest quality, unlike any others. Not only are these blueberries grown in the U.S. – specifically in Oregon, California and North Carolina, but they are also processed in a state-of-the-art facility locally in Dallas, Oregon. To ensure freshness and a robust blueberry flavor, the blueberries are picked at the peak of ripeness and then are immediately transferred to the processing facility. At the processing facility, they are infused with cane sugar from Mexico and dried to a specified moisture using a heated air dehydration method. This method heats the blueberries for a minimum of 15 hours to a temperature at our above 158 degrees F. Once the blueberries are dried to the perfect point of being chewy, but still fresh tasting, they are then coated with sunflower oil which is also grown and processed in the U.S. This coating of sunflower oil allows for the dried blueberries to be free flowing and not clump together. The delicious final product is certified kosher, contains no allergens or chemicals, and are not grown or processed with any genetically modified ingredients.

Suggested Storage: The product shelf life of dried blueberries is dependent on storage conditions and is highly variable. They should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity-controlled environment, out of direct sunlight. The industry standard for shelf life, when stored under optimum conditions, is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Refrigeration below 40 degrees F may cause crystallization of the sugar.
