Also known as groundcherries, Inca berries and Cape gooseberries, Golden Berries are a genus of flowering plants that are a part of the nightshade family. They grow in warm temperate and subtropical regions around the world. Ours are specifically grown in Peru A notable characteristic of these berries is a large papery husk which partly or fully encloses the fruit.

The product shelf life is dependent on storage conditions and is highly variable. They should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity controlled environment. When stored under optimum conditions, the shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture. Please note that there will be natural darkening of the berries as they age. This is not an indication of poor quality.
