Aunt Patty's Organic Soybean Oil is a non-hydrogenated, trans-fat free cooking oil extracted from the seeds of soybeans. Soybean oil is the most widely consumed of all cooking oils accounting for about half of the worldwide edible vegetable oil production. Produced in the USA, our soybean oil is expelled pressed and fully refined without the use of chemicals or solvents. It has a well balanced make-up of fats consisting of approximately 16% saturated fats and 81% of unsaturated fats. Of the unsaturated fat content, it is primarily made up of the polyunsaturated fats linoleic acid (51%) and alpha-linolenic acid (7-10%). It also contains approximately 23% of the monounsaturated fat oleic acid. With a smoke point of 495 degree F (257 degrees C), it works well for medium heat applications including light frying and sauteing. It is also commonly used as an ingredient to make salad dressings, breads and crackers.

The shelf life of our organic soybean oil is dependent on storage conditions and is highly variable. It should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity controlled environment. The industry standard for shelf life, when stored under optimum conditions, is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
