These delicious and nutritious Inka Crops Roasted Plantain Chips are made from a special variety of the banana family that is intended to be cooked before eating (as a starchy vegetable side dish), rather than eaten raw like "dessert" bananas.
Inka Crops uses carefully selected, high-quality Plantains that are sliced and roasted in pure palm oil for a light and crispy snack that can be enjoyed with dips or straight from the bag.
Plantains are technically a type of fruit, but much like tomatoes and unlike bananas, they are eaten and cooked as if they were a vegetable. They look like a large banana, but are harder to peel and can't be eaten raw. Native to Southeast Asia, plantains are now grown in other tropical regions around the world. With a starchy, slightly sweet flavor, they are often fried and made into a snacking chip (similar to potato chips) which is the case here.
The chips are rich in calories (approximately 150 calories per ounce), fat (26.9 grams per 100 grams), and carbohydrates (63.8 grams per 100 grams). They contain a large amount of omega-6 fatty acids as well as a good source of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, copper, potassium, and magnesium.
Plantains, RSPO Certified Palm Oil, and Sea Salt.
