Also known as candied ginger or ginger chews, crystallized ginger is fairly soft in texture and has a sweet, spicy flavor. It is made from ginger root that has been cooked until it soft. The soft root is then covered with a light coating of cane sugar. Ginger is known to have a variety of health benefits including that of being an anti-inflammatory and to help treat nausea. Ginger also is rich in the essential mineral, iron. Crystallized ginger can be enjoyed as a snack all on its own and can also be used as an ingredient in baked goods such as cookies and cakes.

The product shelf life of this product is dependent on storage conditions. It should be stored under cool, dry conditions and in a humidity controlled environment. When stored under optimum conditions, the shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture.
